“Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo” is a comedy anime series focusing on the character Alissa, a witch who lives alone in the forest. One day, she finds a baby and names it Viola. Alissa raised Viola for 16 years, but one day, Viola grew beyond Alissa’s imagination. The series focuses on parent-child relationships, where looks can be deceiving as to who is the parent and who is the child.
In the cast, Nana Mizuki plays Viola, while Aoi Koga plays Alissa. Other cast members include Takaya Hashi (as the Phoenix), Romi Park (as Lyra), and Kana Hanazawa (narration).
The anime is directed by Masahiro Takata at production studio A-Real. The script is written by GyroKnuckle, and Miwa Yoshida (the main animator for The Seven Deadly Sins, Sword Art Online: Alicization) is designing the characters.
