The creature is a demon depicted with a snake lower body while the upper body is a woman sitting on a large pedestal. Her name is Oniga.
It was Oniga who kept staring at Iguro Obanai every night. She told Iguro Obanai that she was waiting until he was older to do something important. At this point, Iguro Obanai knew well what that meant.
In fact, the Iguro Obanai family lived happily thanks to the wealth of the victims of the evil demon. To maintain their wealth, the Iguro clan needed to sacrifice babies to Oniga as it was her favorite “food”.
Since Iguro Obanai was the first boy of the clan to be born in more than 300 years with special eyes, it was rare for Oniga to fall in love with him. She wanted to wait until Iguro Obanai was older and then make him her food.

Kaburamaru’s companion “friend”

The only thing he can trust is the small white snake that often enters his room, it’s name is Kaburamaru. In the end, Iguro Obanai successfully escaped with his friend Kaburamaru.
Unfortunately, Oniga noticed and chased after Iguro, he was almost caught and killed until the Flame Pillar Rengoku Shinjurou saved his life. At that time, Yan Chu successfully killed the evil demon.
However, before that Oniga went on a rampage and killed all 50 members of the Iguro family except him and his cousin. The cousin was deeply hurt and sad, she accused Iguro of thinking he was the cause of the family’s destruction. If the demon only ate Iguro as planned, her family wouldn’t have to die.
Even so, Iguro still had a strong desire to live. He knew no matter what, he was still a member of that “trash” family. So, Iguro made up his mind, vented his rage at wars with demons and eventually became a Pillar.
Through great events, Kaburamaru still did not leave Iguro. In subsequent appearances in Anime Demon Slayer, the audience finds that Kaburamaru is always on his shoulders and wrapped around the neck of the Serpent Pillar at all times.
The two got through the darkest times together and remained together, thus Kaburamaru became like a confidant in Iguro’s shadow.
During the battle with Muzan in chapter 194 of the Manga, Iguro saved Tanjiro from the Demon King’s powerful attack. At that time, Iguro was slashed in the eye but he still did not stop fighting because Kaburamaru was his third eye.
Iguro tried to attack because Kaburamaru was always passing on the progress of the battle to him. Kaburamaru also has the ability to read Muzan’s attacks, allowing Iguro to fight back despite being severely injured.
