Disney Dreamlight Valley has just released a gameplay overview trailer that provides a first look at the features and activities that will appear in the game. Based on what was shown in the trailer, Disney and Pixar fans along with fans of games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming release.
First announced in April 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley is being developed by Gameloft, which primarily publishes mobile games from many major brands. From the mobile games of Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s to Disney Magic Kingdoms, Gameloft has an incredible number of titles under its heyday. Disney Dreamlight Valley stands out among these because the upcoming life simulation adventure game will be an initial console and PC release before being available on the Mac App Store. The game hosts an instantly recognizable cast of characters from Disney and Pixar movies.
New gameplay overview trailer for Disney Dreamlight Valley showcases a lot of the game’s content and playability, revealing gameplay reminiscent of simulation games like Stardew Valley while implementing story-driven gameplay and typical missions of traditional adventure games. The game takes place in the magical world of Dreamlight valley featuring Disney and Pixar characters and has fallen into a state of decay and decay due to a corrosive force known as “forgetfulness”. The player’s mission is to restore Dreamlight Valley to its former glory by exploring, helping characters, and completing quests.
The game features deep character customization and lots of fun features to keep players busy. The player can fish in various locations and maintain a garden with both sourcing activities that can be used to cook meals from an extensive list of recipes. Crafting also plays an important role in the game, with countless items to craft from foraging materials. Furniture such as couches, rugs and radios along with functional items such as radios and stoves can all be crafted and placed in the player’s home. A strong focus on personalization, allowing players to decorate and rearrange virtually the entire game world with the same level of control as The Sims’ creativity.
The game will begin Early Access on September 6, 2022, for players who purchase the Founder’s Pack or are members of the Xbox Game Pass while the full free launch will take place at an unspecified date. It could be as early as 2023.
