Does Naruto’s Talk no Jutsu work on any of Dragon Ball Z’s biggest villains?

Naruto often uses “Talk no Jutsu” in relation to villains, but the vicious nature of the bad guys in Dragon Ball Z makes this useless.

Naruto is known for a lot of things, especially since it was part of the “Great Trilogy” that defined shounen anime for a generation of viewers. Of course, one of the series’ most notable elements is the infamous “Talk no Jutsu”, capable of taking down even the most villainous. While this may have helped Naruto against the enemies he’s fought, it remains to be seen whether it will have the same effect in the world of Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball Z depicts its heroes and villains in a way that is arguably less complicated than later Naruto, perhaps at least in part because it predates the latter. Given how incredibly insidious some of Goku’s greatest enemies are, Naruto’s specific way of talking can be rendered useless. This is why Kamehameha Wave is much more effective than Talk no Jutsu.

What is Talk no Jutsu, Naruto’s most mocked narrative element?

In Naruto, the shinobi use incredible techniques known as ninjutsu. These include Naruto’s Shadow Clone Technique, known in Japanese as Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. While this may be Naruto’s most popular self-defense, one person in particular criticized the “attack” in which he uses much less fists. The infamous “Talk no Jutsu” is not an official skill in the Naruto universe, but a pejorative term used by fans to describe Naruto’s tendency to magically try to save the day. or change others through talking to them.

Examples of this include him inspiring Zabuza to strike back at Gato and his men by reminding Zabuza of how much he is said to care about Haku. The same goes for his conversations – which can be very heated – with both stubborn Gaara and Sasuke. His interactions with the former helped him to let go of his wrong ways and become a more human individual. Talk no Jutsu has been criticized as a rather nasty plot device, not unlike a “nakama” game where the characters win through the power of friendship. The fact that it seems useful against the series’ biggest enemies only makes this trait worse. That says a lot about how Naruto and other shinobi can change hearts after hearing a suitable monologue, but the villains of another shounen series aren’t quite as sweet. so.

Say no Jutsu will be useless against the villains of Dragon Ball Z

While even some of the most evil individuals confronting Naruto have some degree of humanity, that’s not the case with Dragon Ball Z’s most prominent villains. Lowly Lord Frieza doesn’t. possessing any dignity, simply worshiping power and ruling over his own species, such as the extinct Saiyans and Namekians at the border. Not even a sense of morality and honor is present in him, with the space lizard as cold as his name suggests. The same goes for Cell and even Vegeta at the start of the series, none of whom have the slightest courtesy about them. Only the threat from a larger enemy can force Vegeta to team up with the Z Fighters, and must marry Bulma and father Trunks to truly tame the Saiyan prince.

Majin Buu, at least in his original athletic form, can be looked down upon, though that’s mostly because he actually possesses a good side. That’s why he’s completely evil in his destructive Kid Buu form. The same goes for Android 17 and Android 18 that used to be human, even the fully robotic Android 16 is pretty decent when compared to his killing machine state. These are the only characters on which Talk no Jutsu will have any influence, as those villains are themed the ones closest to those in Naruto. Unfortunately for Goku and his friends, settling things through a simple discussion is always overlooked in order to fight it.
