Kodoani.com – Toei Animation has just revealed a new trailer for the anime series “Dragon Ball Daima” during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event on Sunday. The trailer introduces Goku and also reveals character designs for Goku and Krillin.
The anime is expected to premiere in fall 2024, with Masako Nozawa returning to voice the character Son Goku.
Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki serve as series directors. Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru adapted Akira Toriyama’s character designs for animation, while Yuuko Kakihara (Digimon Adventure tri. movies, 2022 Urusei Yatsura, Cells at Work!) is supervising and writing the series’ scripts.
Akira Toriyama, the creator of the franchise, will be the story and character designer for the new anime.
During the story, Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and other characters experience a phenomenon that causes them to become younger than normal. This differs from a similar plot in the Dragon Ball GT anime, where Goku reverts back to a child after the end of the original series. Although the title “Daima” has no specific meaning, the kanji can be understood as “Demon” in English.
