When watching seven dragon pearlson the surface it is clear that the most powerful Android (or bio-android) is Cell because other Androids to him are nothing more than power-ups – although watching Dragon Ball GTThat once-obvious assumption is called into question because it is explicitly stated that Cell is, in fact, not the strongest, Android 17 used to be.
In Dragon Ball Z, following the events of the Frieza Saga, the Z-Fighters are introduced to an entirely new world-destroying threat: Android. Fans and Z-Fighters first heard of this threat from Future Trunks, who literally ripped through the timeline to correct the wrongs committed by Android. In Trunks’ alternate future, Androids 17 and 18 effectively waged the battle of Armageddon just because they could – so in Trunks’ eyes, those two Androids are the pinnacle of evil in the world. And then, DBZ introduced Cell, a traveler from the future just like Trunks, but his reasons are far more sinister. For Cell to achieve perfect form, he needs to absorb both Android 17 and 18 – but in his timeline, they’ve been defeated. So he travels to the past, absorbs the Androids that have eluded him, and becomes the strongest villain to date — at least, that’s what people think.
17 Killed Dr. Gero in DBZ before his true potential was unlocked
In Dragon Ball GT episode 42 (written by Atsushi Maekawa, directed by Osamu Kasai, produced by Toei Animation), a portal to hell was mysteriously opened in the sky and the villains died long ago. fly over there and bring only chaos. and chaos. Meanwhile, in hell, the villainous Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu have teamed up to create Dragon Ball’s ultimate Android – and it turns out, it’s 17. As the mad scientists explain, 17 created with a hidden potential, once realized, that would make him more powerful than Perfect Cell. So the two created an exact replica of Android 17 in hell with some upgrades thanks to Dr. Myuu’s expertise on Machine Mutants. As the gates of hell expand, the villains’ plan is to merge this number 17 with the original number 17 to create the version of Android that should have been realized long ago: Super 17.
Back in Dragon Ball Z, when Android 17 and 18 were first awakened by their creator, Dr. Gero, 17 people killed Gero without a moment’s hesitation. 17 does this to assert his dominance over the scientist and prove to Gero that he will not become his puppet. 17 people had no idea that he was just hurting himself with that sudden act of murderous violence. If 17 allows Dr. Gero to be his guide and gives some of that control to his creator, then Dr. Gero will unlock 17’s true potential – if only to kill Goku. Not only that, but 17 can also save himself and his sister from Cell, as Super 17 can easily kill the villain when he’s in his bug-like imperfect form.
While Super 17 in Dragon Ball GT is more powerful than 17 is possible in DBZ due to the fact that he needs to merge with his own version of Machine Mutant to achieve that transformation, Android 17 still strong enough to kill Cell IN seven dragon pearls if he lets Dr. Gero unleash his true power on him–and Dragon Ball GT prove it.
