Summary
Dragon Ball DAIMA will feature familiar characters like Goku and the rest of the cast, who have been turned into children. The trailer hints at a connection between the new villain and the Buu Saga, possibly hinting at the return of Dabura, the King of the Demon World, who has the highest power level officially recorded in Dragon Ball Z. There could be a connection between the new villain and Babidi, pointing to a potential backup plan or a new relative of Babidi entering the plot.
The upcoming series Dragon Ball DAIMA hasn’t revealed too many details about its story yet, but it’s very likely that fans have already met the villain of the new series, and he’s a familiar face, holder of the title of highest recorded power level in the entire franchise: Dabura, King of the Demon Realm.
Dragon Ball DAIMA is the recently announced new series in the series that will star Goku and the rest of the cast, who have been transformed into children. It’s unclear exactly what caused Goku and friends to turn back into children, but it’s clear that this will be the catalyst for DAIMA’s plot, and it won’t be easily resolved.
Daima’s trailer also features images of a castle in hell and some scenes from the Buu Saga shown on screen by a new character (who looks quite villainous). That raises a big question about the connection between this new villain and the characters in the Buu Saga.
Dragon Ball DAIMA’s new big villain could be Dabura
As it turns out, there’s a character associated with Hell who plays a pretty big role in the first part of the Buu Saga: Dabura. Dabura is the King of the Demon World, and Boasts the highest power rating recorded in the series. Demons in Dragon Ball use their own power level system called Kili. According to Shonen Jump, 1 Kili = 50,000 Power Levels. Dabura’s Kili is 4000, meaning his power level is up to 200 million. While other villains like Buu or Jiren certainly score higher, they never really reveal the extent of their power. As a demon king, Dabura is a master of magic, like the magic needed to turn Goku and his friends into children. There’s even a shot of a creature that resembles (or possibly resembles) Babidi, Dabura’s former master, in the DAIMA trailer.
Dabura was defeated by Buu, and thus never really got into an all-out fight with Goku or the other Z-Fighters. In the anime’s filler episodes, Dabura is said to have repented in Heaven and even helped Chi Chi, Bulma, and Videl search for Gohan, but these filler episodes are generally not considered canon so they are not banned. Dabura reappears. as an evil villain. Dabura likely wouldn’t be interested in avenging Babidi or trying to use Majin Buu again, but there could be all sorts of other reasons for him to return to other Dragon Ball media, such as The game, for example, brought back Dabura before.
Dabura is an interesting but underdeveloped villain
While Dabura has the interesting record of having the highest officially recorded power level in Dragon Ball Z, he was quickly surpassed by other villains and heroes. Still, he’s an interesting character and could be developed further, especially considering his relationship with the Demon Kingdom remains mysterious. At the very least, there appears to be some connection between the new villain seen in Daima and Babidi’s trailer, given the character’s inexplicable presence in the trailer, and Dabura could be the link. that’s missing. Dragon Ball DAIMA seems to have some strong connection to the story of Buu and bring daburawho never had an actual battle (other than a brief one with Gohan), could be a great way to connect the new series to what came before.
