Dragon Ball’s Shenron received a surprise revival from popular cheap cosplayer “Lonelyman” on Instagram, complete with bow tie, matching green outfit and an unflattering camera angle.
Lonelyman (@lowcostcosplayth on Instagram) has amassed more than two million followers thanks to his fun cheap cosplays, many of which are inspired by anime characters. The Shenron dragon cosplay, which one user commented as “so serious as to be unremarkable,” is one of several Dragon Ball characters that Lonelyman has portrayed. This cosplayer has previously done Super Saiyan God (red hair) Goku using pieces of watermelon and Super Saiyan 3 (blond hair) Goku using multiple mangoes glued together.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Is Still The Topic In Chapter 101’s Peek Peek
The Dragon Ball Super manga has teased Chapter 101, revealing that the Red Ribbon Army still has a role to play in the upcoming story.
Lonelyman’s take on the immortal dragon Shenron is certainly more personal, but still very tame compared to many of the other cosplays he’s rocked in the past (he previously created the Tesla Logo only use underwear… that he is wearing). While some users seemed surprised by the comments, most simply found him hilarious, applauding Lonelyman for his genuine creativity and dedication.
In the world of Dragon Ball, Shenron is a magical dragon that appears when the Dragon Balls are gathered, with the power to grant a wish to anyone who collects all seven Dragon Balls. Once the wish is granted, the Dragon Balls will scatter throughout the Earth and become inert for a certain period of time. Throughout the series, characters search for the Dragon Balls to ask Shenron to grant them extra powers, special knowledge, or even bring teammates back to life. Wishes have certain limitations and they cannot be granted if the request exceeds a god’s power. Luckily, resurrection is within Shenron’s abilities and is used multiple times throughout the series to bring fallen characters back to life (some multiple times), including Goku, Vegeta, Master Roshi, Yamcha, Tian, Krillin and Piccolo, just to name a few. .

Dragon Ball Exec Producer: The status quo must be challenged to create global popularity
Dragon Ball executive producer Akio Iyoku revealed his goal in the upcoming Daima is to broaden its international appeal without following established trends.
The upcoming Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Daima, will return the main cast to their roots as they are physically transformed back into children and must find a way to restore their original ages. It is unclear whether they will try to collect the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron to do this or whether a new enemy will appear, but it is likely that Shenron will appear at least once in Dragon Ball Daima .
Dragon Ball Daima is expected to be released in fall 2024, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed. Dragon Ball is available to stream on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Prime Video.
