DTCL version 12.13 witnessed the rise of the Mage squad, especially the dragon squad. However, dragons are not an issue with Olaf-led squads.
*Note for readers:
Slow-roll: Use the earnings from each round to redeem the store.
Eco: You will not use gold to buy champions, if you have, only buy 1-2 gold champions.
Meta: Most Effective Tactics Available . This change made Olaf and the Warriors quickly return to the meta race.
Warrior: 4 Warriors: Attack damage increased from 200 to 220%
6 Warriors: Attack damage increased from 350 to 420%
Not only the Warrior system has been increased in strength, but Dragon generals such as Braum or Lillia have also been significantly increased in strength.
Braum:
Braum now directs shields towards the largest group of enemies.
Lily:
Health increased from 700 to 750. Skill damage: 150/225/350 => 215/275/350. Damage: 50 => 40. – Attack speed: 0.7 => 0.65.
It seems that in order to increase the ability to counter Dragons, Riot decided to increase the strength of the Olaf- Do Dragon squad. So let’s take a look at Game4V on how to build this squad.
Build Olaf- Do Long squad:
Upgrade god dragon
The cores that definitely can’t be ignored when playing this Olaf- Do Long squad are: Dragon’s Soul, Dragon’s Crown. The reason why Dragons cannot be assembled from Golden Shovels, so the appearance of these cores is the “Message of the Universe” that I want to send to you. In addition, the upgrades related to Warrior, Do Long is also one of the cores that are very suitable for this squad.
In addition, cores such as: Best friend, Coach, Leaning…. are cores that are also very suitable for the Olaf – Do Long lineup.
Early game stage:
Complete your squad with Gladiator-Warrior cards.
Pair items like Giant Killer, Fire Armor – the “core” item of these squad mainstays. During this phase, try to capture all Dragon Kings like Diana, Braum, Lillia and definitely Olaf.
Mid game:
Gradually replace Do Long and Warrior generals to complete the squad frame.
At this point, when you have enough squad frame, you should actively “eco” to slow-roll at level 7. Having 3-star Olaf and 3-star Braum will make your squad “both healthy and strong” .
Final stage:
This is the time when you have gilded your squad with 3-star Do Long generals. Now just sit back and watch Olaf show his power.
The key point of this squad is that you will have to save good money and know how to use the money to “slow-roll” appropriately. Damaged items will go to Olaf and defensive items will go to Braum. The annoyance of Diana’s Ice Heart and Bard’s Mutable Destiny will give Olaf plenty of time to take down the enemy squad.
A pretty easy top 1 match with 3-star Olaf
Conclude:
Olaf’s lineup is quite easy to play in this meta because few players will use it and the champions needed in the early game are quite cheap making it easy to “eco” money. However, the difficult point of this squad is that if 2-3 people play together, it is quite difficult to have 3-star Olaf and Braum. Therefore, Game4V recommends that you only play when there are less than 2 players and get yourself the appropriate upgrades.
