King Amusement Creative also posted an advertisement for Evangelion: 3.0+1.11: Thrice Upon A Time ( Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :|| ), an updated version of the movie Evangelion : 3.0+1.0.
Additional prologue video will be included with Evangelion Blu-ray Disc/DVD releases: 3.0+1.11.
The film ends its theatrical run in 2021 with a bundled booklet containing a similarly titled “Evangelion : 3.0 (-120min.)” comic strip. The short manga depicts the events that occurred 120 minutes before the previous film, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
The film opened in Japan on March 8, 2021 and ranked #1 in its opening weekend. The film surpassed the 10 billion yen mark (about US$74 million) at the Japanese box office. The Evangelion : 3.0+1.01 update of the film begins playing in June 2021 for the “final run” of the film. The new version contains “minor modifications” to some animated scenes, but does not change the story of the film.
It launches on Amazon Prime Video worldwide in August 2021. It’s available in Japanese, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Peninsular Spanish, and Western. Latin American Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Korean and English, as well as audio with subtitles in 28 languages.
