Kodoani.com – Anime website The IDOLM @ STER Million Live posted trailers for Thursday’s theater previews. The trailer reveals the anime’s opening theme song “Rat A Tat!!!” by 39 idols from the anime’s 765 Production manga.

All episodes of the anime will begin showing in Japanese theaters on August 18, before the anime premieres on television in October. The anime will screen in theaters for three three-week screenings. The first part of the theater will run from August 18 to September 7. The second part will screen from September 8 to September 28, and the last part will screen from September 29 to October 19.

Genta Nakamura plays the new idol producer for 765 Production. Kenji Akabane, who served as 765 Production’s producer on the 2011 The IDOLM@STER anime series, returns as the main producer. Houchu Ohtsuka also returned from the 2011 anime as Junjirō Takagi, the masked president of 765 Production. Juri Takita returns from the 2011 game and anime as veteran production assistant Kotori Otonashi, while Chika Anzai returns from The IDOLM@STER Million Live! as the new production assistant Misaki Aoba.

The anime will follow the development from the early stages of the theater Mirai Kasuga and other idols.

Shinya Watada is directing the anime at Shirogumi Inc, and Yoichi Kato is supervising and writing the series scripts. Lantis is producing music. Bandai Namco Studio is co-producing the anime, and Bandai Namco Entertainment is planning and producing the anime.

Shirogumi Inc. produced the video below when Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the television anime adaptation in celebration of The IDOLM@STER Million Live Stage Day 2020.

Namco Bandai Games has released the original The IDOLM@STER Million Live! in 2013 as a spin-off of the main The IDOLM@STER game series. The original game featured 765 Pro characters from the original series, as well as 37 new characters. The game allows players to manage their own idol production company and improve their idol’s skills. The game then ended its service in March 2018.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a successor to the game called The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days for iOS and Android devices in June 2017. The new game’s stage is the 765 Pro live theater and takes place in rooms such as the theater’s office, lounge, and green room. The game features the theater secretary Misaki Aoba. In the game, the player can communicate more with some of the idols by touching them on the screen. The game’s solo and unit concerts feature rhythm games.
