A Genshin Impact gamer recently discovered a detail in Baizhu’s demo video that shows HoYoverse did it ‘sloppy’.
Baizhu is the only new five-star character released during the ongoing second phase of the 3.6 update. Before each new lineup addition, Genshin Impact will usually release a set of promotional videos that delve deeper into the character’s backstory. Baizhu is one of the most anticipated characters in the game as he is the first character to appear with vision Thao during the Magic God Quests in Liyue. Responding to the expectations of players, Baizhu was released with a super healing skill set and suitable for many strong squads in the game. However, recently a Genshin Impact player noticed an unusual detail in the recently released Baizhu character demo video called Root Cure.
Reddit user u/PusheenMaster posted an interesting screenshot taken from Baizhu’s character demo. Throughout the video, Baizhu can be seen writing various prescriptions for his many patients. The post reveals that at one point in the video, Baizhu can be seen holding his paintbrush in a very unnatural way. According to the poster, they think that HoYoverse made a ‘negligible’ move when making Baizhu’s demo video.
While most fans claim that they didn’t even notice this small detail, others said they thought the paintbrush had slipped from Baizu’s hands. Some fans have even suggested that Baizhu may be using elemental powers that allow him to control his tools in this strange way.
The post gained a lot of attention in the community as it gained over 1200 upvotes on the official Genshin Impact Reddit sub sub. Some comments have pointed out that this is not the first time HoYoverse has made such a ridiculous animation error. In one of Zhongli’s first character demos, an NPC can be seen hovering or sitting on an invisible chair.
