Kodoani.com – Anime adaptation of role-playing games Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout (Tokoyami no Joō to Himitsu no Kakurega) by Koei Tecmo Games released the first anime trailer and a key visual on Saturday. The video announces and accompanies Sangatsu no Phantasia’s opening song “Golden Ray”, and also announces the anime’s staff and the July 1 premiere.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 channels on July 1 at 24:00.
Tokoyami no Joō to Himitsu no Kakurega Animation has the main cast returning from the game. Ema Yuzuriha is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS and Yashichiro Takahashi returns from the game to oversee the series’ scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya is designing the characters. Kazuki Yanagawa will return from the game to compose music.
Koei Tecmo Games’ Gust franchise launched Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam in North America in October 2019. The game launched in Europe in November 2019 and at Japan in September 2019. Koei Tecmo America released Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy in January 2021 for PS4, Switch, PC via Steam and PS5. That sequel is set three years after the first game in the franchise. The two games combined have more than 1.6 million versions released worldwide.
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key (Ryza no Atelier 3 ~Owari no Renkinjutsushi to Himitsu no Kagi~) was originally slated to release in Japan for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on the 22nd. February, and in the US on the same platform and on PC via Steam on February 24.
