Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has officially confirmed that FIFA 23 will not feature the Russian team in the upcoming version.
As confirmed by EA Sports, FIFA 23 will not feature the Russian national team and its clubs:
“EA will stand with the people of Ukraine and the calls coming from many other parts of the world, demanding peace and an end to the armed conflict in Ukraine. Just like our partners FIFA. and UEFA, EA Sports say no to the Russian national team and Russian clubs.”

In March of this year, EA removed all Russian and Belarusian players from this publisher’s Esports tournaments. EA has also halted the sale of FIFA titles and content (including content in the FIFA Ultimate Team mode) in Russia and Belarus following the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. All Russia-related items have been removed in Ultimate Team mode, but gamers who purchased the pack can still keep the items.
EA has confirmed that FIFA 23 will officially launch on September 30, with the Ultimate Edition coming three days earlier on September 27. EA has finally revealed FIFA 23 via a teaser trailer. new and confirmed that it will be developed using HyperMotion2 technology, while fully supporting cross-play in most game modes.
