FIFA 23 focused on gameplay reveal, graphics, animations and commentary, and confirmed the game was developed using HyperMotion2.
FIFA 23 is the latest installment in a long-running soccer game series that aims to give players the authentic experience of the sport of kings. EA has finally revealed FIFA 23 via a new trailer and confirmed that it will be powered by HyperMotion2 technology. HyperMotion technology was a big focus of FIFA 22’s promotional efforts, although it was limited to the PS4-gen console versions of the game.
FIFA 23 is confirmed to have full cross-play support in most game modes. Before that, the community didn’t have much information about FIFA 23 as EA didn’t hold its usual summer EA Play Live press conference this year. With this new trailer, EA gives fans a glimpse into FIFA 23’s gameplay, graphics, commentary and more, and confirms the game’s set release date.
EA has confirmed that FIFA 23 officially launches on September 30, with the Ultimate Edition coming three days earlier on September 27. The FIFA 23 reveal trailer mainly includes physical players show off their impressive dribbling skills. It focuses on enhanced HyperMotion2 technology and the quality of animations. The video also showcases the updated penalty kick UI before confirming the World Cup mode will coincide with the FIFA World Cup tournament scheduled for later this year. An EA tweet mentions that FIFA 23 will include both men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups.
The video also focuses heavily on the most famous players from the biggest clubs in the world including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. However, the representative stars and players from their respective clubs stand out above the others. EA previously revealed the FIFA 23 representative players, confirming that PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr will be the stars to represent the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23. Kerr becomes the first female player. first appeared on the global cover of a FIFA game, while Mbappe appeared for the third time in a row as the representative star.
FIFA 23 will mark the end of EA’s partnership with FIFA after 30 years. EA’s next soccer game will be called EA Sports FC, although the publisher has clarified that much of the game content will remain the same. EA previously mentioned that all game modes, clubs and players from FIFA games will be part of EA Sports FC. The game will come with Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and Volta modes, so it looks like nothing will change for gamers. However, it will also be a big change that opens the door for FIFA to cooperate with other developers.
