Final Fantasy XIV tutorial how to unlock Melding is extremely useful for newbies

The Melding feature in FFXIV is easy to implement and is gradually forgotten at the end of the game and if you don’t want to miss this feature, let’s go through this tutorial with Game4V.

Melding is not the only feature appearing in the game Monster Hunter, this feature is also an important part of the final part of Final Fantasy XIV. Among the features that newbies need to grasp in FFXIV, Melding is the one that is taught very early but is easily forgotten because there are not too many quests that require its use. However, it makes a big difference in late-game content and is pretty much expected by people running activities like Raid. It may seem a bit confusing at first, due to some of the requirements to do so and the selection of indicators that the Melding feature affects.

The player will first need to unlock the Melding process through a few short quests that will allow upon reaching level 19 as a Disciple of the Hand. This will unlock the “Awaken Souls” quest at The Bonfire in Central Thanalan, and teach the player the basics of Melding Materia to get into gear. The companion quest “Spirit Training” must also be completed as it unlocks the ability to mine Materia from items with an easy way to collect Materia to use for the Melding feature. This quest can be found in the same area.

Materia are special items that contain various stat bonuses for all jobs, battles, crafting, or gathering. However, with combat Materia only contributes to secondary stats like Speed, crit rate. These items are only obtained when reaching 100% Spiritbond with equipment. This is achieved through combat, crafting, and gathering. When it reaches 100%, the player can choose to Extract Materia to get a brand new Materia. However, different levels of equipment give different levels of Materia, which determines their stat contribution. For example, a level 50 shard will give a level IV Materia +4-6, while a max level shard will give a max level Materia that contributes +10-36, depending on the stats in each case.

If the player doesn’t get the Materia they wanted or is looking for some Gil to shop for, they can turn those low level or unwanted Materia into something better by transforming through the Mutamix feature at The Bonfire in Central Thanalan can do this for the player, as long as they have his services unlocked through the quest, “Changeable Materia” and unlocked at level 19. Then, the player can trade any five Materia for a random Materia, other than the given ones, with a chance to have it at a higher level. So players can basically recycle unnecessary Materia to get what they need or create higher level Materia to sell on the Market Board and there will be a dedicated market for selling high level Materia for players to spare. equipment pool.

Overmelding is unlocked through the quest “Melding Materia Muchly”, which can be obtained at level 25 and is not as easy as using the regular Melding feature. There is a high chance of failure for each Overmelded Materia, and it takes a very long time to successfully execute, which means a lot of Materia collected or Gil used. The best way in Overmelding is to start with the highest level Materia, as they have the highest chance of failure and the Overmeld’s success rate decreases as more tiles are available. It is a difficult process, and is also the reason why it is rarely used outside of large-scale Raid battles.
