Kodoani.com – Official website of “A Who’s Way Up to an Exploration Hero,” the anime adapted from Kaito’s “Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyūtan” light novel, debuted its first trailer on Friday. The video revealed the main voice team, staff and announced an official premiere date of year 2024.
Director Tomoki Kobayashi (from “Utawarerumono,” “Takunomi.,” to “Akame ga KILL!”) is in charge of the anime at studio Gekkō, while Starry Cube is in charge of producing. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (“Black Clover,” “Girls’ Last Tour”) is the script supervisor, Shōko Yasuda (“My Happy Mar,” “Am I Reality Strongest?”) is the character designer, and Keiji Inai is the character designer. (“Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”) is responsible for composing the music.
The anime will star Yūya Hozumi as Kaito Takagi and Kana Hanazawa as Sylphy.
Kaito introduced the light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2019. HJ Bunko, publisher of Hobby Japan, is currently publishing the light novel with illustrations by Arumikku.
The story of the light novel revolves around Kaito Takagi, a high school student with a commoner personality and low status. He is a regular adventurer, conquering slimes daily in the dungeons that appear in Japan. One day, he met a special yellow slime. When he tries to defeat it, he receives a precious item – a “servant card,” capable of summoning mythical creatures worth hundreds of millions. By summoning a beautiful valkyrie, Kaito begins his adventure from mobster to hero.
Terio Teri created the manga adaptation, which is serialized in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion magazine from August 2021.
