Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco Entertainment’s YouTube channel announced through a new video that in the fighting game Tekken 8, Panda bear will be added to the list of playable characters. The video also introduces the series’ story and features Brian Cox recounting the story so far.
Tekken 8 is expected to launch on January 26, with a total of 32 playable characters, including Panda. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The story of Tekken 8 takes place nearly six years after the events of Tekken 7, and the Tekken franchise has been recognized by Guinness World Records as having the longest story in video game history.
In the introduction video, the character list was announced, including many familiar characters such as Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, and many others. Tekken 7 launched in June 2017, and the anime series Tekken: Bloodline, connected to the game’s storyline, aired on Netflix in August 2022.
