A Genshin Impact fan shared an impressive outfit concept equipping Cyno with a Sumeru theme. The recent major update added a new country called Sumeru, introducing tons of new content including new characters, enemies, weapons, and regions.
Every region in Genshin Impact is based on a real place, and Sumeru seems to be inspired by South Asia and the Middle East. Most of the characters in this region have costumes based on the traditional costumes of these regions. Sumeru also introduced a brand new element that had a huge impact on the game’s character meta as elemental Thao added six incredibly powerful new elemental reactions.
The Sumeru Institute is the main governing body of the region and is perhaps the most prestigious academy in the entire Teyvat continent. The Institute is located in the rainforest area of Sumeru and accepts students from all over the world. The official storyline confirmed that the academy had a high reputation even before the Great Flood, which means it is at least 500 years old. College students often have specific uniforms that include green and white themes. Reddit user u/ijr_visuals created an impressive costume concept for one of the recently added five-star characters named Cyno, also known as General Mahamatra.
Fans seem to like Cyno’s new skin since the post hit over 3,000 upvotes on the game’s official Reddit sub. Many commenters suggested that even though Cyno’s default model has one of the best skins in the game, they still wanted the option to equip him with an Institute themed skin. It wouldn’t be a surprise if HoYoverse decided to add a skin for Cyno in the future as the ongoing Genshin Impact 3.4 update added a similar skin for Lisa Minci.

Lisa’s new skin “Glory in the Leaf” has a four-star rarity and can be obtained for free until the end of the Season of Re-blooming. All the player has to do is complete the event to unlock the costume. He will appear alongside Dehya, the new Fire-type heavy sword character in the first half banner of Genshin Impact version 3.5.
