Akutami: “If I can accompany me for another year (probably), I will be very happy”
Kodoani.com – Comic author Jujutsu Kaisen Gege Akutami said in a written statement read during Saturday’s Jump Festa ’23 event, “If you accompany me for another year (perhaps), I will be very happy.”
Akutami previously said in an interview in February 2021 that the manga “probably” will end within two years. Akutami added at the time that he doesn’t trust that claim.
Akutami launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. Viz Media published the first three chapters of the manga in English simultaneously with Japan as part of its Jump Start initiative. Then, when Viz switched to the new Shonen Jump model in December 2018, the company began publishing new chapters of the manga online. Shueisha is also publishing the manga online on its MANGA Plus service.

Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime premiered in October 2020 and has 24 episodes.
The anime Jujutsu Kaisen 0 opened in Japan in December 2021.
The second season of the anime will premiere in July 2023.
