Genshin Impact is getting closer and closer to the end of the story.
While there's still a lot to explore in Natlan, it's worth remembering that 6/7 of Genshin Impact's nations have been unlocked. Only Snezhnaya remains a mystery. Snezhnaya is said to be the home of the Fatui Harbingers, and this has created a lot of anticipation for the upcoming region. However, according to gamers, the land of Khaenri'ah is where the great mysteries of the game's main storyline are revealed.
The kingdom of Khaenri'ah is distinct from the continent of Teyvat and is famous for its role in the Cataclysm and its subsequent destruction at the hands of Celestia. Dainsleif is a key character in the storyline, being a native of the region and responsible for sharing much of the information that players have so far. Khaenri'ah currently appears to be the final chapter of Genshin Impact, but appearances are not always what they seem. According to gamers, in order to keep Genshin Impact from ending too soon, miHoYo could completely “turn things around”, making Khaenri'ah the beginning of a new journey. This is entirely possible as Khaenri'ah could be hiding a way to extend the game's story even further.
In addition, there is another way that Genshin Impact fans have “drawn”.
That's the change of the main character of the story. It's time for the traveler to be left behind. Khaenri'ah may end the story between the main character and their twin brother, but this will lead to another beginning. After the story that has lasted for many years of Genshin Impact, fans can completely step into a new story that is equally interesting.
This would certainly be the biggest change possible, and would provide a reasonable path for miHoYo to continue the game since, to be sure, Genshin Impact has absolutely no replay value. Genshin Impact has had a large and loyal fan base since its launch, so it's understandable if the developers want to extend its lifespan. After Khaenri'ah, there may not be any more stories to tell, but that doesn't mean the player's journey is over.
