A Genshin Impact fan uploaded a post to introduce her adorable little black cat version of Xiao.
A fan of Genshin Impact has created an adorable figure of Xiao in the form of a cat. Given the massive success of Genshin Impact, it’s no surprise to see fans expressing their love for the game and its characters through incredibly creative ways.
Despite his youthful appearance, Xiao was the last Yaksha summoned by Rex Lapis during the Magic God War thousands of years before the events of Genshin Impact. He is an extremely powerful Wind-type character and has spent his time wandering around Liyue hunting monsters in modern times. But in the game, most of the time Xiao will rest at the Vongshu Inn, where the player can talk to him. Xiao will also assist the player in defeating Fatui in the game’s Liyue storyline, playing a key role in that part of the game.
Now, Xiao has also been turned into a cat by Reddit user u/MadeinSaturn, who posted their adorable creation on the Genshin Impact Reddit sub. Despite taking the form of a black cat, the drawing has key details that clearly indicate it is Xiao, including green hair in his ears, necklace, and a diamond on his forehead.
The Xiao cat model is also not the first time u/MadeinSaturn has posted models they created based on characters from Genshin Impact. They created one based on Thao Than Nahida and posted it on the Genshin Impact Reddit sub before. There it was revealed that the model was sculpted in the ZBrush program and used a 3D printer and plastic material to print it. It can be speculated that the cat Xiao was also sculpted with the same program and printed with a 3D printer, but it has not been determined if that is indeed the case.

Given that Xiao has been on Genshin Impact since nearing his debut in 2020, that means he’s had plenty of time to grow his own following with fans. Although he has been in the game for a long time, not much is known about Xiao yet, but with HoYoverse releasing a story trailer involving Xiao highlighting his personal struggles he, the developer clearly still has a lot of plans for Xiao.
