A leaker has revealed a gameplay video of the world boss of Sandworm Invasion coming to players in the upcoming version of Genshin Impact 3.4.
A new leak about Genshin Impact has given fans a first look at the new world boss coming in patch 3.4 while also showing off the gameplay of the Invasive Sandworm boss. Since the release of version 3.0 and the introduction of the Sumeru region, HoYoverse’s popular RPG has seen countless new enemies for players to challenge. So far, Sumeru has brought in four new world bosses scattered throughout the region, as well as the weekly boss Shouki no Kami in patch 3.2. Now a new world boss will be added to the game in an upcoming update.

Throughout recent updates, Genshin Impact has introduced many new boss types with unique mechanics to its newest region. Some bosses such as the Mystic Mushroom and the Semi-Eternal Matrix of Operations have different responses to different elements of Genshin Impact, while bosses of other elemental species such as the Primordial Grassland require it. The player uses the Thao element to defeat it. Other enemies such as the Dragon of Ten Thousand Tribes keep the traditional structure of the game, but have added new techniques such as elemental resistance and the ability to move in the air. Now, Genshin’s next world boss shares some similarities with a boss that was released quite a while ago.

A recent post on the Reddit sub sub Genshin Impact Leaks shared footage of a new world boss, named Sandworm Invasion, in an underground desert arena. The Boss takes the form of a giant burrowing worm with a tail similar to the heads of previous Flower enemies such as the Eastern Grade Tree, the Explosive Tree, and the Electric Stabilizer. The video shows the creature emerging and diving into the sand, and the player takes advantage of its limited time on the ground to deal damage. The Invasive Sand Worm is expected to appear in Genshin Impact along with the Sumeru desert expansion in patch 3.4.
The Sandworm of Invasion is likely to carry an underground mechanism, and its temporary invulnerability is not the first case in Genshin Impact. Relics Serpent, previously introduced in patch 2.6, has a similar gameplay style to the giant underground burrowing machine. It’s worth noting that the initial leak did not reveal any of the Invasive Sandworm’s attacks, with the creature’s attack pattern still unclear. The game also showcases more of Yaoyao, which will also appear in patch 3.4, in the fight against the Invasive Sandworm.
