A gamer has discovered an interesting detail in the concept of the characters from the Sumeru Grassland compared to other countries in Genshin Impact.
A Genshin Impact player noticed an interesting detail about four playable characters that belong to the Sumeru region. This mysterious Thao Quoc was added to the game in the 3.0 update. This area also introduces the last remaining element, the Thao element, which has a significant impact on the game’s character meta.
So far, Genshin Impact has introduced 12 different Sumeru characters with five-star Dehya being the most recent addition. She’s part of a banner at the first stage for the ongoing 3.5 update, which includes another Sumeru character, Cyno, also known as the Governor Mahamatra.
Reddit user u/SofiaPizza pointed out an interesting similarity between four different Sumeru characters, Dori, Layla, Dehya, and Kaveh. What all four of these characters have in common seems to be their laziness, especially when they’re fighting. Example: Dori doesn’t even hold her weapon when performing attacks. Instead, her weapon is used by Tran Linh in her magic lamp.
Layla is a four-star Ice support, she is passionate about her studies and this often leads to severe sleep deprivation. Layla was so exhausted that she developed an alternate personality while sleepwalking. She can even fall asleep in the middle of battle thanks to her Elemental Skill which creates a very powerful shield that can protect her from oncoming attacks even while she is asleep.
Meanwhile, Dehya is one of the few characters that can deal damage even when the player is fully into AFK. All the Traveler needs to do is take advantage of Dehya’s breakthrough talent and equip her with the relic of the Ocean Conch. This endowment allows Dehya to regenerate health whenever her HP drops below 40% and this effect lasts for 12 seconds. The effect from the four-piece set of the Ocean Conch set will deal damage in an area whenever its wielder receives an excess of healing after the HP bar is full.

Kaveh is the fourth character mentioned in this post, and although he hasn’t officially joined the roster yet, the Genshin Impact livestream recently revealed his complete skill set. Similar to Dori, Kaveh also uses his magic suitcase to use a weapon instead of holding it with his own hands, which, according to some comments, perfectly suits his personality.
