A new update to the game Grounded adds termites as new creatures to encounter, along with more new content to the game.
Kodoani.com – Game Grounded is a role-playing game in which the player controls shrunken children who must pick up what they can to survive in the rife wilderness of their own backyard. Grounded is developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios and continues to receive updates with new content.
On this day, a new post announced that Grounded reached 10 million players even before the full release. The developers expressed their gratitude to the players and even made a video to thank the player community for supporting it. However, the news doesn’t stop there for the game as the development team has released a new update for Grounded.
A new update called “Into The Wood” adds new creatures and areas in Grounded for players to explore in the yard, including a territorial termite nest in the new woodpile area. The woodpile area will act as the termite’s lair or “dungeon house”, and the player can use it to craft new level 3 axes and new chest armor pieces. Players will encounter termites in the woodpile area that they will have to fight, namely queen and soldier termites.
The update will also add eight new types of Grounded creatures that players will encounter. This includes black bull beetles, dust mites, scarab beetles, green shield beetles, ladybug larvae, ladybugs and “newly infected” wolf spiders suggested by the player community. According to the post, the wolf spiders will even come with a unique “Dangerous Dumpling” color scheme for anyone playing in spider-fear mode.
As part of the new update, the developers have added other improvements to the game based on recommendations from the player community. One of them is the “Many Crafting” option that allows players to craft multiple items at once, including five of the same item, as long as they have enough resources for it. Another is the new Peep.R mode that allows players to use their hands to zoom in on areas they’re viewing on the map and place markers for themselves and other players to see.
The update also adds a Resource Survey Station, where players can scan a specific material and find out the item’s current location on the game map. Then there’s the “Hot Deposit” ability that allows players to deposit storage items in chests and containers, which is said to help with better inventory management for players. Additionally, players can also craft Black Axes, Splashing Arrows, a new set of Burr Weeds base floors, and more added as part of a new update to Grounded.
