Legendary Comics campaign managed to raise US$80,000 by September 23
Kodoani.com – Legendary Comics Company has announced that they have canceled the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the game “Gundam Breaker Battlogue: New Build.” This is said to be the first official visual novel for the Gundam series produced outside of Japan. The reason for the cancellation of the campaign was that they were unable to collect the necessary funds for production.
The Kickstarter campaign is trying to raise US$80,000 by September 23 to produce this visual novel. However, the company only collected $41,992 from 389 backers before deciding to cancel the project.
The visual novel series is a stand-alone story and “spanning the legacy” of the “GunBaker Battlogue” anime. Bandai Namco Entertainment producer Nobuo Masuda is writing the manga, and artist Nelson Daniel is drawing the art for it.
The “Gundam Breaker Battlogue” project premiered its anime season in October 2021. The anime consists of six episodes and is viewed by the public through the YouTube channel “Gundam” in Japan and “Gundam.info” globally. The anime was directed by Masami Obari at Sunrise/Bandai Namco Filmworks.
The “Gundam Breaker” series allows players to create their own mobile suit using parts from different Gundam models and then participate in cooperative battles or missions.
