Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed the release date of the new Haikyuu!! a chapter on the 10th anniversary of the manga.
Kodoani.com – The one-shot chapter celebrating the 10th anniversary of the volleyball manga will be released on April 25.
Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed the release date in this year’s 20th issue. The new story will revolve around the lives of Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama and the rest of Haikyuu!! released in 2022. Oneshot will be about the same length as a regular chapter, about 19 pages long with a color page in the middle.
The upcoming one-shot is one of 10 projects that have been announced to celebrate the anime series’ milestone. Eight of these projects have been revealed so far, including special illustrations of the characters’ appearances in 2022 and new LINE stickers by creator Haruichi Furudate, an exhibit named Haikyuu!! The FINAL exhibition was held in Tokyo from February 16 to March 11. Fans can also find a special commemorative book outlining Haikyuu’s more than a decade of history!! and a new radio web drama called Karasuno High School Broadcasting Club that follows the daily lives of the cast began airing on February 28. A live volleyball match will also take place in August. 2022, fans can watch live or online.
Booming on the manga scene in February 2012, Haikyuu!! revolves around Shoyo Hinata, a middle school student who dreams of becoming one of the greatest volleyball players in Japan. He became obsessed with the sport after witnessing Karasuno High’s “Little Giant” completely dominate the field despite his short stature. Finally enrolling at Karasuno, Hinata joins the school’s volleyball team to follow in her heroic footsteps. Along with rival Tobio Kageyama and the rest of his teammates, Hinata tries to restore Karasuno’s reputation as a formidable opponent and in the sights of the Nation.
Haikyuu!! has been hugely popular since its publication, with over 50 million copies of the manga in circulation as of November 2022. The series’ success skyrocketed when an anime adaptation produced by Production IG was announced. It has since become one of the most beloved sports anime of all time. Four seasons of the show have been released, with the fourth chapter chronicling Team Karasuno’s adventures at the highly anticipated national volleyball tournament. The Japanese cast features the talents of legendary voice actors such as Ayumu Murase (Devilman Crybaby), Kaito Ishikawa (My Hero Academia), Attack on Titan’s Yuki Kaji and the famous Seven Deadly Sins’ Ryouhei Kimura.
