Despite rumors that Halo Infinite’s coop campaign will kick off on July 11, 343 Industries has denied this.

When Halo Infinite first launched in late 2021, fans of the sci-fi series noticed that some of the much-anticipated elements of the game seemed to be absent. Things like Elites, multiplayer assassinations, etc. have appeared in other Halo titles but notably not in Halo Infinite. However, since the game first launched, developer 343 Industries has continuously provided new updates to enhance the experience for players, while promising that most of the features are missing. at launch will be back in the future.
One of the most notable missing features for fans is the co-op campaign in Halo Infinite. Experiencing Halo’s main story with a friend has been a feature of the franchise for more than a decade, and in Halo 3 it seems the game almost expects players to have an in-game friend. They include Arbiter’s as a supporting character. After that, Halo fans breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that Halo Infinite would receive a co-op campaign experience, with a beta release date or “test flight” set for July 2022.
It seems like 343 Industries didn’t have such a specific plan for this beta release date. According to 343 community director Brian Jarrard, the team is still developing the “build flight” for Halo Infinite’s coop campaign, and the July 11 target release has been pushed back. There are still plans to bring the co-op beta to fans this week, but there is currently no promise of a new specific time for the launch.
Recently, Halo Infinite’s user base has been seriously declining.
Jarrard further explained that July 11 is never a firm expectation for when to expect the beta of the Halo Infinite coop campaign. Instead, they had hoped that they could make it work at the time, but recently discovered some issues preventing its release. With that said, Team 343 is said to be still working on the beta, but it looks like fans might be able to wait a little longer before they can test out Halo Infinite’s story with a friend.
Jarrard did not specify whether the delay would affect Halo Infinite’s full August co-op launch, which some fans had expected to be delayed. He has said that work is being done on a “day in and day out” basis, implying that the focus right now is being placed entirely on completing a beta. Some fans will be happy to wait to make sure that Halo Infinite’s coop campaign beta is finalized, while others are still disappointed that the feature isn’t part of the game at launch.
