A fantasy light novel series (not isekai) is scheduled to be adapted into an anime in 2024.
The strongest tank’s maze raid is the latest manga and light novel series to be adapted into an anime. Announced about the latest chapter of the manga adaptation, the anime will be the first such production from STUDIO POLON. Mitsutaka Noshitani and Taihei Nagai (both of whom worked on the Even a Dad Still Wants… series) serve as director and character designer, respectively, while Hitomi Amamiya (known for Merc Storia: The Apathetic Boy and Girl in a Bottle ) are handling the scripts. Music corporation Victor Entertainment is responsible for the anime’s score. This reveal coincides with the launch of the upcoming film’s website, giving audiences a glimpse of what the film is about.
The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid follows Rud, the real “tank” in a team of adventurers who make their way through dangerous dungeons. Wanting more than just fame or wealth, he searches for a treasure that can cure his sister’s illness. When he is forced to leave his old group of teammates, he meets a mysterious girl who realizes the truth behind his incredible longevity. Realizing that her defenses have been enhanced to the maximum, tank Rud sets out with her to find a way to save her sister.
The main cast has been revealed. These include Jun Kasama as Rud, Kaede Hondo as Nin, and Kana Ichinose as Luna. The teaser trailer for Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid shows them all using their own special magical powers or skills. In Rud’s case, he protects himself and his allies with his sturdy shield, as his incredible defense stats allow him to avoid even the blows of a giant creature resembling stone.
Created by Ryūta Kijima, the series began as a web novel in 2018. Running for three years, the series was adapted into a light novel series that is still running and has five volumes to date. The same year as the light novels began to be released, the manga adaptation of The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids also began to be published, with nine volumes to date. The teaser trailer reveals that the show is set for a January 2024 release date.
