Hoshino Takanahashi (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori) stars in the latest trailer for the upcoming Blue Archive anime. The official website describes her as follows: Belonging to Abydos High School, Hoshino is the former vice president of the Abydos Student Council, She is a lazy girl who is currently the president of the task force. She prefers playing to working and has a habit of talking like an old lady. Because of this, she is often scolded by the other members of the committee, however, when the mission begins, she has to fight on the front lines to protect the other members.

Yostar Pictures (Arknights: Perish in Frost) and Candy Box (which supported two episodes of Arknights: Prelude to Dawn) are jointly animating the series under the direction of Daigo Yamagishi (Show By Rock!! Stars! !). Shunji Maki (Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z) is appointed as assistant director while Hiromitsu Hagiwara (Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!) is animation director and character designer. Hiroshi Onogi (Shangri-La) is in charge of compiling the series along with Yamagishi. The anime previously revealed a trailer introducing Hiroko.
Anime Blue Archive is based on the role-playing mobile gacha game developed by Yostar Japan and Korean game studio Nexon, a subsidiary of Nexon Games (formerly known as NAT Games). It was initially released in Japan on February 4, 2021, while Nexon published the global version on November 8, 2021. The game is free to play with optional in-app purchases. The television anime adaptation was announced in a special chapter commemorating the game’s 2nd anniversary.
Blue Archive’s story takes place in Kivotos, an academy city formed by the merger of thousands of academies. The game’s players take on the role of a teacher who guides students in the Federal Investigation Club, also known as Schale. As the city’s newest club, they receive a request from the General Student Council to assist them in keeping the city of Kivotos out of danger.
