Information about season 4 was just announced in a radio show today, and we have VA Kaito Ishikawa taking the honor of confirming the production plans.
Besides, season 4 of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” will air on Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East and CIS. Information about the broadcast date has not been specifically announced, so stay tuned for more updates.
Based on the novel by Aneko Yusagi and Seira Minami, the most recent season of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” was directed by Hitoshi Haga (assistant director on “Made in Abyss”) at studio Kinema Citrus. Series composition was done by Keigo Koyanagi, and music was handled by Kevin Penkin.
Crunchyroll aired the previous three seasons and describes the plot as follows:
“Iwatani Naofumi, an ordinary otaku, was suddenly summoned to another world through a book in the library. He was assigned the task of being a Shield Hero, along with 4 other heroes who use swords, spears, and bows to fight against the Calamity Wave.
