The official day of the annual sale has taken place, Amazon marking the event with a Prime Gaming event.

Amazon launched Prime Gaming or relaunched its Twitch Prime service as Prime Gaming in 2020. The company claims the number of Prime members using Prime Gaming has increased by more than 120% over the past two years.
One of the highlights of this service is its monthly offering of free games and in-game items to subscribers. According to Amazon, Prime members received more than 420 million offers and 80 million free games in 2021 alone.
Games offered with Prime Gaming range from triple-A titles to indies, and Amazon is giving away both of these games as part of Prime Day deals.
Josh Dodson, Prime Gaming’s head of business development and operations, said: “Prime Gaming’s value to publishers is the awareness our program drives and the increased engagement. that they see in their content. In 2021, Prime Gaming’s free games and content includes over 100 free games and over 675 in-game content offers representing over $21,600 in value per Prime member. Dodson added: “We will continue to put the players first and work to deliver the best games and game content we can. Prime Gaming will continue to build on the portfolio of games and game content it offers and will seek to increase the overall value we provide to players.”
