The Epic Games Store kicked off 2022 with a pretty big bang, delivering non-stop heavy-duty titles.
2022 is a special year for Epic Games Store users, with more than 100 titles given away for free. While some months weren’t as packed with games as others, users received the majority of titles for free throughout the year, with some titles up to $50 worth. When the standard selling prices of all games were added together, Epic Games Store gave away games worth a total of 2244.03 USD, equivalent to about 52,780,000 VND.
The Epic Games Store kicked off 2022 with a pretty big bang, offering nonstop heavyweight titles including the Tomb Raider trilogy, Galactic Civilizations 3, and Daemon X Machina. While February doesn’t have as many titles with monetary value as January’s free-to-play titles, the quality of each giveaway is still there, with Cris Tales and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons are some of the real highlights. March was full of mini-games for as little as $9.99 being given away, but Total War: Warhammer ended the month very well with its great value. April and May are some of the best months of the year for Epic Games users, with major titles like Borderlands 3, XCOM 2, and BioShock: The Collection appearing on the store’s free pages.
During the summer, the Epic Games Store went back a bit, offering only a handful of free titles each month, all of which were relatively low value and low popularity. Epic Games these months even freed some of the games that were originally released for free, which some gamers found a bit confusing. In September, things heated up a bit with significantly more games being released for free, although not too many big-name titles, and October was the same. November has some pretty outstanding titles like Star Wars: Squadrons, Rising Storm 2 and the recently released Evil Dead.
However, in true Epic Games style, the store ended the year in style by offering one free game a day throughout the run-up to Christmas, starting December 15. December’s title this year is quite impressive, offering a variety of popular games from many different genres. Some of December’s game highlights are LEGO Builder’s Journey, Fallout Classic Collection, Mortal Shell, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, and Death Stranding, and even a lucky few who got the game early could win a Director’s Cut copy of the game. Death Stranding. Overall, the Epic Games Store’s 2022 free-to-play titles are quite impressive and have continued to keep the store in the spotlight in a competitive market.
