The fighting action RPG is free to play with optional in-game purchases
Kodoani.com – Team Caravan’s Twitter account announces RPG game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Battle Chronicle (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka Battle Chronicle) the game will launch simultaneously in 80 countries on May 23. The game will launch for iOS and Android devices, but Team Caravan announced that the version will be released. iOS is currently “under review.”
The game held a closed beta test from March 16 to March 22. sajou no hana performed the game’s theme song “Mettle Link” (song transcription unconfirmed).
The game is part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the original Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka novel series by Fujino Ōmori and Suzuhito Yasuda. The game will be free to play with optional in-game purchases. The game will allow players to re-experience the franchise’s story and its battles with familiar characters like Bell and Hestia in “anime-like 3D graphics”. The anime’s voice cast is reprising their roles.
Players can assemble their own team with various training elements such as “explorers”, “supporters” and “scene cards”, and then embark on an adventure. There will be royal battles where every other character is an enemy, as well as autoplay battles where organization is key.
A separate smartphone RPG from Korean game developer Neowiz and Japanese social network Gree Entertainment is in the works. Neowiz is developing the game and will distribute the game worldwide except in mainland China. Gree Entertainment is noted for game planning.
