Warning: Spoilers for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: The JojoLands, Chapter 11 Latest Chapter of Jojo’s Bizarre AdventureThe ninth season of The JojoLands ended with a surprising twist for their newest nemesis, as Paco decided he should try to recruit his attacker, a mysterious figure with remarkable Standing abilities. amazing. Recruiting enemies into allies is a staple of Jojo, dating back to the original Speedwagon in season 1, but this enemy Stand could open the door to some great scenes in the future.
In chapters 10 and 11 of The JojoLands, Jodio and his crew are attacked by an unknown assailant. However, before attacking them, this attacker tried to intimidate the crew by showing them a bag full of cat heads – presumably the heads of the standing cats in previous chapters. When his threat fails, he resorts to knife attacks, using his Stand ability to hide in plain sight by altering the depth perception of Jodio and his friends, allowing him to blend in. background and completely unnoticed.
However, the man’s delusions seem to have gone beyond disguising himself, as Paco discovers.
Turning enemies into allies is classic Jojo
Paco looks back at the bag of “cat heads”, only to discover that they are actually potatoes, made to look like cat heads by the attacker using his Stand. Paco realized that their enemy had tried to avoid fighting and was able to reason with him.. Of course, by the time Paco realized it, the attacker and Jodio were embroiled in a life-and-death underwater fight, so they had no way to signal to Jodio that this problem could be solved. resolved without further violence.
As noted above, recruiting enemies is a fundamental part of Jojo, especially early on. Many classic characters, like Golden Wind’s Bucciarati and Stone Ocean’s Foo Fighters, started out as enemies that the series’ Jojo had to overcome, and it looks like this character could be next. While the abilities of some of these characters are nothing to scoff at, this new enemy Stand offers some truly incredible abilities, having fused his hand with a cloud behind him and blend inside a convertible. This ability is extremely useful but not offensively strong–perfect for an ally.
The Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga had a lot of fun with this Standing ability, leading to some surreal visuals that fit the series perfectly. Keeping this character as an ally, rather than defeating or killing him, will allow this surreal element to continue to be a part of the story going forward. It’s an ability unlike any the Jojo allies have had before and could be extremely valuable in stealth and reconnaissance, both activities that the shadowy Jodio crew can take advantage of. maximum use.
Although the name of this new character (and the name of their Stand) is still a mystery, hopefully that will change in the next chapter, provided Paco gets a chance to intervene in their fight. Jodio could definitely use another ally at this point, and it would be the first main character introduced since the first chapters of the story set up the main cast. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is as bizarre and creative as ever, and that will only become more true if this illusion-wielding enemy joins the heroes.
