His popularity began to be the driving force behind Stone Ocean, allowing the series to explore other plot points while constantly assuring fans that sooner or later, Jolyne would succeed and Jotaro would be one part of the conclusion.

Jolyne may have come into her own in Stone Ocean Season Three, but Jotaro’s arrival to save his daughter in the most critical of situations is one of the standout moments of the series. Although, this creates a possible problem. Now there are two main characters: the hero of the story and the most famous character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Jotaro is still a standard for Jolyne to surpass because that’s her story, and now he’s playing a supporting hero. Because Jotaro had never acted as a tutor to his daughter, it was difficult to describe their performance appropriately — Jotaro couldn’t steal a chapter that could say so, and Jolyne couldn’t make it. Jotaro looks like an idiot.
Enrico’s ability to resist Star Platinum did not diminish Jotaro’s expected strength, instead forcing him to adapt. By combining his abilities with Jolyne’s Stone Free, they demonstrated flexible teamwork of equal importance, sharing the limelight. Jotaro is the monster that Enrico fears and is kicked out of the game early on due to the mishap he posed. However, due to the sheer popularity he holds and the unresolved issues between him and his daughter, Jotaro’s defeat may only be temporary. The first part of the series shows just how far Jolyne has to go in terms of Jotaro’s strength, something audiences are already familiar with as he repeatedly showcases his strength and skills through the previous installments.
Sometimes taking advantage of a famous character to add more attention to a series can be seen as contrived. However, Jotaro was not impressed by this; his place in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is fitting, he never diminishes the role of Jolyne’s protagonist and he is not weakened for the sake of helping others. He’s someone Jotaro’s fans know and love, setting the bar for Jolyne to achieve and returning spectacularly helping bring the series to its end.
