- In Jujutsu Kaisen Chap 235, Gojo destroyed Agito before completely regrowing his arm using the Reverse Curse Technique . The narrator says that the Second Black Lightning caused Gojo’s intensity to increase and, as a result, worried the Cursed King Sukuna for the first time in a thousand years.
- Gojo uses his third Black Lightning on Mahoraga before suddenly appearing in front of Sukuna. Sukuna tries to attack Gojo but is blocked and thrown towards Mahoraga before Gojo attacks them with the Fourth Black Lightning.
- Mahoraga stops Black Lightning from hitting Sukuna but is thrown away in the process.
- As Gojo started chanting for his next attack, Sukuna guessed it was the Curse Reverse Technique: Red. He intended it to attack Mahoraga so the Shikigami could adapt to it.
- However, Gojo doesn’t shoot Red at Sukuna or Mahoraga but instead shoots it upwards. As Mahoraga chased the Red technique upwards, the remnants of the Blue technique from the previous attack on Agito were revealed in the sky.
- Sukuna ordered Mahoraga not to let the Red and Blue techniques touch and destroyed Blue by adapting to it. But before Mahoraga could do so, Gojo punched the Shikigami down.
- Sukuna tries to destroy the Red technique with Penetrating Blood to prevent it from touching Blue and is attacked by Gojo. However, Sukuna revealed that he has launched Piercing Blood.

- Gojo was unaffected and began chanting the Blue technique, its intensity increasing dramatically. Red and Blue finally meet and Hollow Purple is released. This technique blows up everything around it, including Gojo himself. But since the attack was born from his own cursed energy, it didn’t affect him much.
- In the aftermath of Hollow Purple, parts of the city were completely destroyed, Mahoraga’s wheel was broken, and Sukuna was severely injured with an incapacitated arm.
- Kusakabe said that Gojo recovered his Reverse Curse Technique thanks to consecutive Black Lightnings. He also said that now that Sukuna has no Mahoraga and cannot use Domain Amplification, Gojo will win the battle of the strongest.
- At the end of the Chapter, Gojo completely heals himself and replenishes his cursed energy.
