But unfortunately, Gege Akutami seems to have wholeheartedly decided to give him a permanent break. Although Gojo’s absence is certainly imminent, the new Chap is tense, with the fight against Sukuna continuing as Kashimo becomes his next opponent without giving him a break.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 237 information revealed
The upcoming chapter is titled “Shinjuku Battlefield Part 14” and the editor’s comment is “Battle vs. ‘The Strongest’. The God of Thunder Kashimo enters the ring!!” This chapter starts with Uraume’s introduction and Kashimo is also there. Hakari Kinji challenges Uraume for a promise he cannot break. He releases his Domain, but Uraume counterattacks with Ice Formation.
Even though he had captured Uraume in his territory, a giant iceberg continued to descend. In an unexpected twist, it suddenly disappears and Kashimo realizes its true purpose: to deliver something to Sukuna. What is revealed is the Cursed Weapon, a deadly artifact forged by Yorozu in exchange for a deadly oath – the Cursed Tool Kamutoke.
Sukuna unleashes an electric attack on Kashimo with his Cursed Weapon, reminiscing about the past. However, it turns out that Kashimo’s Cursed Energy has made him resistant to electricity. Kashimo took the opportunity to question Sukuna, asking if he gained his power or was born with it. Sukuna, in a thoughtful voice, admitted he didn’t know because he was an unwanted child.
Kashimo then asks about how Sukuna used to connect with others or show affection or mercy when he seemed to have no weakness. Kashimo admitted that he was incapable of doing that, considering humanity as nothing more than insignificant dust particles. He then begged Sukuna to teach him whether power means isolation and to find a suitable outlet for one’s power. Is this the fate of the strong, a form of punishment?
Sukuna casually calls Kashimo “extravagant,” drawing parallels with Gojo’s past. He tapped his head with his weapon, challenging Kashimo to face him in battle. The epic clash between Kashimo and Sukuna begins. Kashimo made the first move, attempting to attack Sukuna with his staff.
However, Sukuna quickly blocked the attack with his weapon. Undaunted, Kashimo stepped back and used his Cursed Technique, called “Genju Kohasaku”, which roughly translates to “Amber Demonic Beast”. After delivering a solid punch to Sukuna’s face, Kashimo launched a breath-based attack and launched it at Sukuna. The narrator explains that Kashimo’s Cursed Technique allows him to reshape his body, allowing him to unleash various forms of attacks derived from his Cursed Energy.
Kashimo’s attacks continued to find their mark, his Curse Technique enhancing his agility and causing his energy waves to disintegrate anything they touched. However, the price to pay for that power is obvious – Kashimo pushes his human body to the limit. When his Curse Technique expired, his body would definitely suffer the consequences.
In a dramatic plot twist, the narrator reveals a surprising truth about Sukuna. He possesses a method to revive his original body once without the need for RCT (Reverse Technique). However, Sukuna deliberately chose not to use it. The moment finally comes when Sukuna returns to her original form as she was a thousand years ago. The narrator declares, “The transformation of samsara has begun again.”
