The long war between jujutsu sorcerers and the extremely powerful Curse King Sukuna has had devastating consequences.
Higuruma sacrificed his life to give Yuji a small opening to attack Sukuna.
However, after that plan failed, Sukuna was ready to eliminate Yuji once and for all, intending to destroy both him and the other witches who stood in his way.
At that moment, Yuta appeared and confronted Sukuna directly. Sukuna is interested in seeing Rika, Yuta’s cursed spirit ally, with his own eyes.
Meanwhile, amid the intense focus on Sukuna, the scheming witch Kenjaku is all but forgotten. He falls into a clever trap set by Takaba, giving Yuta the opportunity to catch him off guard and decapitate him.
Although now severed, Kenjaku’s head continues to speak. More details are needed to confirm whether he was permanently killed or not.
Kenjaku’s final battle and Yuta’s fight for revenge
In chapter 243 of the manga, Takaba sacrifices himself to distract Kenjaku to create an opening for Yuta to attack. Yuta takes advantage of this immediately and cuts Kenjaku’s head clean off his body.
Completely caught off guard, Kenjaku only sensed Yuta’s presence after he had been beheaded. With his last words before the chapter ends, Kenjaku ominously declares that his “will” will be inherited by someone else.
The story then shifts focus back to the fierce battle against Sukuna, where Yuji and Higuruma bravely confront the formidable Cursed King. After many dramatic clashes, Yuta finally enters the battle in chapter 248.
However, according to the preview summary for the upcoming chapter 249, the mangaka will film the scene where Kenjaku is beheaded and reveal what happened afterward.
More details are still needed to determine whether the villain was definitely killed by Yuta’s surprise attack.
A quick flashback shows that the curses were broken, so Yuta allowed Rika to handle containing them. However, despite being beheaded, Kenjaku still clung to life with his severed head flying in the air.
Kenjaku then changes his original plan to merge humans and Tengen, now relying on Megumi to carry it out through the rules of the Extermination Game which he changes using Kogane.
Before Yuta can react, Kenjaku reveals that he already has an unknown backup plan. Yuta immediately slashed his head again, likely this time finishing him off for good.
Unable to control his anger, Yuta viciously slashed Kenjaku’s face without letting him speak another moment. Unlike the other witches, this is personal for Yuta, who has resented himself for years for not killing Geto when he had the chance.
This forced Gojo to later kill the friend he once knew after Geto’s body was taken over by Kenjaku. Gojo vows to finally put Geto’s soul at peace by killing Kenjaku.
However, not wanting Gojo to have to kill his best friend’s form again, Yuta took it upon himself to eliminate the villain.

Spoilers then return to the present day fight as Yuta enters the fight against Sukuna. Yuta notices that Sukuna’s healing abilities appear to have been fully restored, meaning he may soon be able to use his Domain Expansion again.
Yuta begins to blame himself for not joining the Sukuna raid team sooner. He thought that Maki could instead confront Kenjaku, freeing herself up for this battle.
But Yuta reassures himself that it is necessary for him and Rika’s specific skills to finish off Kenjaku, as well as stop the curse from raging and protect the civilians.
Yuta swung his sword at Sukuna, but it was easily caught mid-strike without Sukuna even directly touching the blade. Realizing this, Yuta immediately dropped his sword and threw a punch into Sukuna’s stomach.
Then, both Yuta and Rika began launching a series of parallel attacks against the powerful villain. Immediately after, spoilers show Yuta activating his “True and Mutual Love” Domain Expansion against Sukuna.
