But in the manga, after a long battle with Sukuna that lasted about 15 chapters, Gojo met a tragic end.
This is a rather surprising turn for manga readers, as Gojo seems to have the upper hand. Some fans expressed disappointment, some even criticized the author for this unexpected plot twist.
Fans in Chile set up an altar for Gojo
Chile, located on the southwest coast of South America, has its own “Jujutsu Kaisen” fan base.
In a heartfelt gesture, fans in Santiago de Chile set up an altar in memory of Gojo Satoru on September 21, which housed Crunchyroll’s billboards for Jujutsu Kasien season 2.
The altar was decorated with flowers and touching messages for Gojo. Upon closer inspection, you can make out red lipstick stains on Gojo’s image.

Images of this tribute quickly spread on social networks, even attracting attention from the official Twitter account of “Santiago Metro”.

It should be pointed out that Gojo Satoru has survived very deep injuries before and it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary if Gojo was somehow revived.

This isn’t the first time a ceremony like this has taken place for an anime character. Some fans in China also held a funeral for the death of a main character in Attack on Titan.
