Panda unfortunately faces Kashimo, one of the most feared Culling Game players. Both end the fight and the result is tragic.
Kodoani.com – The following article has content for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 185 “Bye Bye,” .
Hajime Kashimo was one of those Culling Game players that Yuji and friends had to be wary of in the first place. They assume this player must be extremely strong, assuming they have at least a hundred points. The plan was for Hakari to fight them, as he was the strongest of the Tokyo group. However, they didn’t know that all of them would be randomly separated as soon as they entered the barrier.
Panda’s role in their plan is to find and negotiate with Hana Kurusu, a witch with wings and aura, similar to an angel. Unfortunately, things don’t go according to plan, leading Panda to find the fearsome Kashimo to replace. Initially, Panda pretended to be a real panda to avoid fighting Kashimo. He might have succeeded if Kashimo hadn’t asked their Kogane if Panda was a player in the Culling Game. So a completely one-sided war ensues.
So far, Yuji and his allies have tried to defeat the opponents in one way or another, but Panda never had a chance. He even tried using his sister’s form – something fans had never seen before – as opposed to his brother’s gorilla form. It made no difference to Kashimo. Panda finds it defenseless against their opponents due to their Cursed Energy being like an electric current. In other words, they are in a state of continuous electrification. Furthermore, Kashimo’s Cursed Energy allows him to use attacks that cannot be missed, without using the field.
Interestingly, Kashimo was determined to find Sukuna, and constantly questioned Panda about his whereabouts. Panda, not wanting to make Yuji a target, refuses to give anything away. However, Kashimo could sense that he was hiding something. It’s unclear what Kashimo wants with Sukuna, but it seems safe to assume it’s a fight. Kashimo is a witch reincarnated from the past, so the two may have known each other, or may have even fought before.
The fight ended with Panda’s entire body, except for the head, completely destroyed. Fortunately, Panda is still alive until now. This is possible because Panda has three cores: brother, sister and himself. Each of these cores is located in different areas throughout his body. The panda core is found in the head, so as long as his head is not destroyed, panda can survive. However, the core of his siblings had definitely been destroyed.
Much of Chapter 185 deals with Panda’s relationship with his siblings. Although presented as a flashback, it is in fact taking place in Panda’s innate realm, much like how Sukuna and Yuji were able to meet. His sister has the form of a three-horned, and she is very protective of her brother, even against their brother, who takes the form of a gorilla. Gorilla is the type of sibling that ignores and takes care of his younger brother, despite his desire to spend time with him.
It reveals how deeply the Gorilla cares about Panda when they find out he and their sister can’t be with panda anymore. This is, of course, because their cores are being destroyed in the real world. The siblings were all emotionally broken, with Gorilla crying over Panda as they were dragged away, because he knew how much Panda needed them. At this point, the chapter returns to reality and shows Kashimo destroying Panda’s body. Kashimo is still trying to get information about Sukuna, but Panda still refuses to reveal anything.
Just as Kashimo was about to finish off Panda, Hakari arrived on the scene in an epic blaze of Cursed Energy. Kashimo is clearly surprised and excited for what is sure to be an interesting fight. On the other hand, Panda was happy that his life could be spared at the last minute.
