The final chapter of Kagurabachi sees Chihiro discover from leader Masumi that Samura has a daughter. It is also revealed that Samura sent Masumi on a mission to stage his daughter's death to protect her from the restricted life Kamunabi imposed on her.
However, leader Masumi fears that Hishaku may target Samura's daughter and use her as leverage against the blind swordsman. He therefore proposed to go to Kyoto, where she resided, to take her under their protection.

As revealed by Kagurabachi Chapter 62this chapter will be titled 'Iori', after Samura's daughter. This chapter begins with a dream sequence featuring Iori. After waking up, she thought about the recurring nature of the dream but struggled to recall its details.
Her mother enters her room, and their brief exchange emphasizes Iori's belief that her father disappeared before she was born. On the news, the Kabuki Theater massacre, involving Chihiro Rokuhira, is widely reported, leaving Iori confused. She leaves for school, confused by the event.
At school, Iori reflects on the phenomenon of the sky darkening three days ago, causing widespread tension and the school's temporary closure in the reveal Kagurabachi Chapter 62. Her friend Ikura, who idolizes Chihiro and even has a tattoo resembling his mark, speculates on the meaning of this event.
Even though Ikura is enthusiastic, Iori still considers Chihiro a murderer. Iori confides in her friends about her constant dream and the strange distance she feels since the sky darkened. Meanwhile, Kuguri and another magician Hishaku arrive at the school, intending to search for Iori.
