The most dysfunctional student council in anime is back as Kaguya-sama: Love Is War makes a triumphant return for Season 3.
Kodoani.com – The following part has spoilers for Season 3, Episode 1 of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Season 3 premiere of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is set in motion right from the very end of Season 2 – with the entire school destroyed as a result of the bubble game. Luckily, a new school flew down from the sky and settled into place so the series could continue. Things are back to normal in Shinomiya Kaguya and Shirogane Miyuki’s love battle, and Fujiwara, Ishigami, and Iino are in mid-season form for the Student Council’s latest story series. The more things remain unchanged, the more they remain unchanged in Kaguya-sama as the conflict officially continues.
As usual, Season 3, Episode 1 is split into three parts, most of which are segments that don’t involve different characters in different embarrassing situations. Yu Ishigami tried – and failed – to save Iino Miko from herself in an awkward slip, Kaguya’s technological challenges nearly cost her her entire erotic war, and wrestling competition. Fujiwara Chika’s hand (no surprise) went bad. Here’s a closer look at each segment and what these new developments mean for the Student Council going forward.
Miko Iino wants to be comforted
The newest member of the Student Council is Iino Miko, who was appointed Auditor by Shirogane after beating her in the race for President. Like the rest of the Student Council, Iino was a much cuter person than the untrained. When she entered the Student Council room and only found Ishigami present, she quickly ended his attempt at conversation by putting on her headphones.
Unfortunately, she didn’t plug them all in, and Ishigami could hear the background noise music she was listening to. While they start off with weird sounds like screaming camels, eventually a borderline erotic voice starts telling Iino how amazing she is, much to Ishigami’s annoyance.
Ishigami has come a long way, more than anyone else in Kaguya-sama. Still coming out of his bleak shell, the guy tries to figure out how to get Iino to plug her headphones in without embarrassing her or anyone else eavesdropping on it. Unfortunately, Fujiwara barged in when she didn’t want to, followed by Shirogane and Shinomiya quickly. Ishigami tries to signal Iino by playing his own embarrassing music loud, but instead of suggesting, Iino just mocks him for his carelessness and immediately reveals his strange listening habits fuck her with everyone. For Iino’s sake, the Student Council left as if nothing had happened and Iino was declared the loser of the day.
Kaguya’s mistake almost caused her to suffer a love war
Shinomiya’s technological incompetence almost cost her an entire war against Shirogane thanks to her ignorance on the subject of “read receipts” on the LINE app that the Student Council uses. used to text each other. Staring at her phone all day and pretending not to see Shirogane’s – or anyone’s – messages, Shinomiya walked away when Shirogane realized she was reading his messages at the time. point to send them. Shirogane quickly calls her to force her to confess, but Hayasaka’s clutch lie about the household staff checking Shinomiya’s documents saves the day.
During this segment it is suggested that Shirogane is not only willing to text first, but to call Shinomiya as well. His confidence is improving, but Shinomiya still has the upper hand. However, the losers in the second segment of Kaguya-sama were Iino, Ishigami, and Fujiwara because Shinomiya also skipped all of their lines.
Chika Fujiwara wants to join the war
Ishigami and Fujiwara’s rivalry in Kaguya-sama is almost as exciting as the battle between Shinomiya and Shirogane. When Ishigami claimed that simply being a man made him stronger than Fujiwara, who exercised regularly while Ishigami did not, Fujiwara did the only sensible thing and announced an arm wrestling tournament of the Student Union. Ishigami was quickly defeated by Shinomiya, who used the power he gained from archery to defeat the cocky Treasurer. Fujiwara, on the other hand, was quickly disqualified during her match against Shirogane when, as always, she was caught cheating in the very game she suggested. Iino, the only one who didn’t participate, instead acted as the referee as Fujiwara broke Iino’s arm to prove to Ishigami that she was strong.
When Shinomiya and Shirogane met in the final round, it seemed like a clash of giants was brewing as the two bravely struggled to outdo each other. While the rest of the Student Council was blown away, it was revealed that none of the participants gave their all as they enjoyed holding hands. Shinomiya ultimately wins the match when she realizes her hands are about to start to sweat, and is declared the winner by the narrator of the day’s battle.
Although Shinomiya took the win and started Season 3 with a 1-0 lead over Shirogane, it is clear that the latter has raised his game this season. Shirogane and Shinomiya are closer than ever; each of them gradually becomes more confident in interacting with the other, meaning a long-awaited confession could come sooner than anyone thinks as Kaguya-sama: Love Is War continues customary.
