Kodoani.com – Anime official website Kibō no Chikara ~Otona Precure 23~ (Power of Hope ~Grown-Up Precure 23~) opened on Tuesday, revealing teaser images, anime staff, and confirmation that Yuko Sanpei will reprise her role as Nozomi Yumehara’s voice.
The anime will premiere on NHK Educational in October. The clip reveals Nozomi and other characters from Yes! Precure 5 and Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! like adults.
Takayuki Hamana is the series director at Toei Animation and Studio DEEN. Yoshimi Narita, who has worked on several Precure films and series before, is in charge of series composition. Atsuko Nakajima designed the characters, and Naoki Satō, who also worked on several Precure series including Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!, in charge of the music.
Toei Animation previously announced Kibō no Chikara ~Otona Precure 23~ and Mahō Tsukai Precure! 2 (direct sequel to Maho Girls Precure!) anime as part of the Precure franchise’s 20th anniversary project. Toei Animation thinks that both projects are aimed at adult fans.
Mahō Tsukai Precure! 2 will be released late at night “Animazing!!!” on ABC TV, TV Asahi and 22 affiliates by 2024.
2007-2008 Yes! Precure 5 and its sequel series 2008-2009 Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! aired as the fourth and fifth series of the Precure series. Both series are notable for establishing Precure characters as a team, rather than a pairing in the previous series. All subsequent Precure series featured teams of magical girls with three or more characters.
Maho Girls Precure! aired from 2016 to 2017. The series has themes about magic and witchcraft, with Precures calling on the powers of legendary witches, rather than legendary warriors.
