Kodoani.com – Pony Canyon officially announced on Thursday that Kōji Shinasaka’s manga “Tōhai – Ura Route Mahjong Tōhairoku” will be adapted into an anime titled “Share – Ura Rate Mahjong Share Roku ” is expected to premiere this year. The anime’s introduction video has been released with English subtitles.
The anime series is directed by Jun Hatori at EAST FISH STUDIO. Mariko Kunisawa is in charge of script supervision, and Sayaka Anesaki is the character designer. The music in the anime was composed by Yūsuke Shirato and Yuki Kishida.
Pony Canyon describes the anime’s content as follows:
“Money, women, organs. Kei, a male high school student, frequents the underground mahjong shop filled with lust, earning him the nickname ‘K of Ice’ in the underworld thanks to his strategy cold and stylish. There are rumors that he keeps a girl at his house.”
Kōji Shinasaka published the manga in Akita Shoten’s Young Champion magazine from 2006 to 2011, with a total of 12 volumes. Shinasaka’s other works include the manga “Tōhai: Hitobashira-hen” (16 volumes), the manga “Tōhai: Minagoroshi-hen” (10 volumes), the manga “Haō Densetsu Lion” (4 volumes), the manga “Haō Kessen Lion ” (5 volumes), and “Tōhai: Cold Girl” an ongoing manga that currently has 5 volumes, with the sixth volume scheduled for release on January 18.
The manga was also adapted into a live-action film in 2013.
