On the eve of the 2023 LCK, the mid-season rankings of the season appreciated Chovy more than Faker and Zeka.
Ahead of the 2023 LCK season, a ranking state (ranking table) was recently released to evaluate the ability and level of the players in each position in the upcoming season. Notably, in the Mid lane area, Chovy is more appreciated than the names of the 2022 season like Faker or Zeka. Immediately, this chart received a lot of talk from the gaming community because Chovy topping the chart was somewhat unrealistic.

Obviously in the 2023 season, compared to Faker or Zeka, Chovy’s performance is not as impressive and not as successful. He lost in the LCK Spring to Faker’s T1, then Chovy did not have an impressive performance at Worlds 2022 when Gen.G lost to DRX without being able to make it to the grand finals.

Meanwhile, Faker is noted for his sublimation in form. He made a great contribution to T1’s undefeated victory. At MSI 2022 and Worlds 2022, Faker also had impressive performances. It was only in the Finals of Worlds 2022 that Faker was defeated by junior Zeka.

Looking back at the journey in the 2022 season, it is clear that Chovy has a weaker performance than Faker and Zeka. Even when facing ShowMaker – the face ranked in the top 4 of the chart, Chovy was not more impressive. Therefore, to be able to rise to No. 1 in the Mid lane in the LCK, Chovy in Gen.G’s shirt probably needs to work harder.
