Version 13.1, which is also the first update for 2023, promises to bring many changes to create an attractive season for League of Legends.
A new year also means that League of Legends is preparing to enter the new season with a series of important changes. After major changes to the Jungle in the 2023 Pre-Season, Riot recently released an overview of the upcoming changes of version 13.1.
Riot Phlox, a designer on the team that developed Summoner’s Rift of the game League of Legends, recently brought fans a list of upcoming changes to the game. Version 13.1 is an extremely important version because this is the first update of the new season, so it will include a series of tweaks to not only champions but also to items, recombined gems in the game.
Riot Phlox brings a list of upcoming changes in patch 13.1
Notably in this list can be mentioned that the number of champions that are buffed by Riot is quite limited, but those are completely reasonable options. Especially with Jayce and Lissandra, two very familiar generals in professional tournaments in the past year. However, in the 2023 Pre-Season period, new items have gradually made the two champions no longer strong enough options for players to choose. Therefore, in version 13.1, hopefully Riot will have really quality buffs for Jayce and Lissandra so they can return to Summoner’s Rift stronger. In addition to Jayce, Lissandra, Riot also increased the strength of Sion as well as Shaco in the direction of physical damage.
In the last 2023 Pre-Season, players were bored with the dominance of the Tank class that was too sturdy and had no shortage of damage. Especially for those who love Mage generals, because this champion class has not been paid much attention by Riot in the past time and the way to equip equipment is almost the same. Therefore, in the next version 13.1, Riot will buff two important equipment items, the Magic Glasses and the Staff of Life – the recently released Mythical equipment. Also brings some tweaks to the Angel’s Scepter.
The Scepter of Life will be buffed by Riot in the upcoming 13.1 patch
Details about update 13.1 will be revealed by Riot tomorrow. As expected, the first version of 2023 will officially launch on January 10, which also marks the opening date for the new ranked season.
