Riot has finally given an explanation for the nerf of Nguyet Dao – one of the most powerful items in League of Legends.
About 2 years ago, Riot Games decided to redo the equipment system in League of Legends. The Mythic System was born with the purpose of expanding the access to equipment, stimulating players to be more creative for each build for each champion. With that desire, Riot Games has launched a series of Mythical equipment that can be compatible with each position in League of Legends.
The Moon Blade is one of the most underrated Mythical items in the game. With the original plan when Nguyet Knife was designed for the Assassin class, this Mythical item was suddenly popular with Gladiators, especially Aatrox. Although it was previously inferior to the Vampire Mace and some other Mythical equipment, after version 12.10, players have experienced the Moon Blade and realized how flawed this equipment is.
Nguyet Dao suddenly proved extremely effective with Gladiator generals, especially Demon Sword Darkin Aatrox.
Finally, Riot Games had to reduce the power of this equipment, along with two quite strong generals in recent times, Master Yi and Rek’Sai in version 12.19. After posting all the updates in the upcoming version, Riot Phroxzon – the team leader with the game had a couple of explanations why they reduced the power of the Moon Blade and the next direction of the team. Riot for this item.
Specifically, Nguyet Dao will be modified as follows in version 12.19:
Attack Power increased from 55 to 60
Lethality stat reduced from 18 to 12
According to Phroxzon, the Nguyet Knife is becoming an item for many Gladiators because of its effectiveness. However, because of the ability to create armor and lifesteal that this item brings, 1v1 situations will be much simpler if your champion has a Moon Blade instead of another Mythical item. . The above problem is completely similar to Assassin champions, which are designed to deal fast and strong damage, in return, they will be relatively fragile. But when owning Nguyet Dao, everything will become much simpler for this class to survive in combat. That’s why Riot decided to reduce the Lethality and increase the Attack Power of the Moon Blade a bit
Conclude:
It is expected that version 12.19 will land on official servers on October 5. The change to the Nguyet Knife will have a big impact on the generals who regularly use this item, and also open the door for other Mythical items to appear more in League of Legends. Game4V will continuously update Riot’s new information and changes to readers as soon as possible.
