Instead of changing the terrain with a fog that provides camouflage, League of Legends’ Dragon Transformation will enhance the entire vegetation system on the map.
More than half a year ago, Riot Games removed Dragon Transformation Technique indefinitely because of the “unfairness” that its buff brought to tank champions in League of Legends. Until this past August, Riot Games revealed that Dragon Transformation will return in 2023 with changes in both the buff and the elemental map.
Until today, the Dragon Transformation Pre-Season 2023 version has been revealed by Riot Games.
Preseason 13 – New Plants! Chemtech Dragon Map
Accordingly, the Dragon Transformation buff will provide “5% Effect Resistance and 5% Health and Shield Healing per stack”.
The Dragon Transformation buff has a strong effect on champions that support health buffs or shields.
In addition, there is a change in Tech Dragon Soul: “When below 50% health, gain 10% damage resistance and damage dealt increases by 10%”.
Dragon Soul Transformation Technique is suitable for gladiator generals like Tryndamere, Olaf, Sett, etc.
Next is the plant system in the Dragon Chemistry map, basically everything still functions as before but is effectively enhanced.
For example, Exploding Pine Nuts will help players “fly” twice as far as normal.
With Exploding Pine Nuts on the Dragon Chess map, players can appear out of nowhere and gank more efficiently.
The Flower of Illumination grants more vision around the person who activates it. The Healing Fruit will restore an extra amount of health and mana compared to before.
Of course, it is difficult for just one Dragon to completely change the meta in League of Legends, but it will contribute to making the gameplay and tactics much richer. Especially, Exploding Pine Nuts will help players gank, roam to surprise opponents, so controlling the vegetation system on the Dragon Chemistry map will become a lot more important.
