T1 once again lost to former teammate KDF Teddy in the first match after only two disastrous mistakes by Faker.
The LCK tournament has reached its final stage in the sixth week of competition, with every team trying their best to get valuable points into the PlayOff round.
In addition to the “dominance” of the two representatives, GEN and T1, the downline teams are competing very closely for a ticket to PlayOff. Teams like DRX, DRX, KT have the same number of points, so winning against the “big guys” is very valuable to improve the score.
“Red Shirt Corps” T1 entered the 6th week of competition with two simple matches KDF and BRO. However, T1 won every team but “suffered” a defeat to KDF in the first leg, thereby ending the unbeaten streak of 22 all-win matches in the LCK. Therefore, they seem to want to “revenge” against KDF to maintain their mentality in the next week’s GEN – T1 war.
Failed in the first game due to Faker’s mistake:
On July 21, T1 entered the game with the attitude of “Avenger”, wanting to reclaim the “lost” points before KDF in the first leg.
Going to the first game, T1 still prioritized choosing a “fast win fast” lineup with Draven for Gumayusi and Lissandra for Faker. On the KDF side, they offered a multi-pronged lineup with all 4 positions that can “carry” the team, Gwen for Kinn and Viego – a super buggy champion – for Ellim, and a very hot duo in the region. Bottom lane is Kalista – Amumu.
With overwhelming laning skills, and the difference in champion quality, T1 easily took the lead in the early stages. So, at the 14th minute, T1 decided to play “cooler” when pulling the whole squad down to fight with KDF.
However, T1 seems to have forgotten about the super buggy champion Viego when letting this guy continuously take down each person and pick up the body. KDF quickly regained the game after Viego’s Quadra Kill.
Faker’s first mistake:
But things are still not too out of control, T1 wants to “remove” it in the next dragon fight.
At 19:30, T1 decided to open a fight to fight for the third fire dragon of the game. T1 Faker used teleport to the back of the KDF formation, but accidentally teleported above the opponent’s line of sight. KDF Fate immediately uses Seismic Throw (W) to isolate Faker from his teammates. At the same time, Kinn forced all opponents outside with Invincible Blue Frost. T1 again failed, losing baron to KDF with a large amount of money.
Faker’s second mistake:
After T1’s efforts to win the game back, KDF decided to open the second baron at 30 minutes, they quickly finished the baron with Teddy’s Kalista’s large amount of damage.
T1 noticed a good game at baron, even though the enemy finished eating baron, they still went in to fight 5vs5. It looked like a Cold Circle (W) phase of the entire enemy team, but Faker “hands faster than brain” Flashed up and “wrongly pressed” Hourglass while not using any moves. Lissandra lost surprise from Flash, KDF easily took them all down and won the first game.
Conclude:
Although T1 Faker is the best player in the world, sometimes because of haste, it leads to serious mistakes. However, T1’s composure is remarkable, after suffering defeat, they do not show disappointment or loss of flair. After the game was completely “crushed”, T1 quickly adjusted its spirit and prepared for the next game. The end result is still 2-1 for T1 and perfect revenge for T1.
